Because I understand that many just don't like fantasy, and many others just like to say the opposite of whatever the consensus is. Most likely, this isn't the greatest movie in history. I've lost all trust in Academy Awards after Titanic, but I find that I'd have a hard time saying that a movie with 13 nominations is worse than, I dunno, Dungeons and Dragons: the Movie (to keep it in the same genre. a movie which is clearly and objectively inferior in all respects from acting to plot to CGI. Certainly, refusing to recognize any value at all to LOTR:FOTR, to the point of "I gave it a 1 just because there's no 0" just sounds childish. Oh. my vote? 10/10.
